Nikola Tesla, A Secret Interview with One of the Greatest Inventors of All Time

Nikola Tesla is regarded as one of the greatest inventors in history, perhaps the greatest. With his discoveries and ideas, Tesla was not only ahead of his time but also ahead of many aspects of today’s technological advancements. Tesla is best known for his groundbreaking work in electricity and energy, but in reality, his vision extended far beyond that.

Tesla worked on wireless communication, turbine engines, helicopters, fluorescent and neon lights, torpedoes, and even X-ray technology. With approximately 700 patents to his name, many of Tesla's inventions were stolen, most notably by Thomas Edison. However, Tesla's legacy lives on today.

But did you know that there was a secret interview of Tesla that has only recently come to light? This interview, conducted during Tesla’s final days at the New Yorker Hotel, reveals many of his dreams and projects that were left unfinished.

Journalist: Mr. Tesla, people say that you are someone who has meddled with cosmic processes. Who exactly are you?

Tesla: That’s a good question, and I’ll try to answer all of your questions as best I can.

Journalist: Some say you are Croatian, and that you were born in a small village. Is that true?

Tesla: Yes, it’s all true. I’m Serbian by origin. However, Croatia is my homeland, and I’m proud of it.

Journalist: Futurists claim that the 20th century dawned over your head. They sanctify the magnetic field and chant hymns to your induction motor. Your invention of alternating current could dominate physics and chemistry across half the globe today. Industry is about to declare you the greatest benefactor. In your lab, you were the first to break the atom. You created a device that could cause earthquake-like vibrations. You discovered the black cosmic rays. Like Empedocles, who studied the secrets of the five elements, you seem to have grasped the secrets of existence. To many, you are seen as a divine figure.

Tesla: Yes, some of what you mentioned are among my most important inventions. But I am a defeated man. I have not accomplished the greatest things I could.

Journalist: What are those things, Mr. Tesla?

Tesla: I wanted to light up the entire world. There is enough energy in the Earth to make it glow like the Sun. If they had let me, there would have been a ring of light around the equator, like Saturn’s rings. Humanity is not yet ready. In my work in Colorado Springs, I electrified the Earth. I could also provide positive mental energy to people. Great musicians like Bach and Mozart, or great poets, have come and gone. Inside the Earth, there is energy of peace, joy, and love. I’ve spent years studying how this energy affects people. The beauty and scent of a rose can be used as medicine, and sunlight as food. Life takes on an infinite number of forms, and the goal of the scientist is to find these in every material. There are three main ideas. I’m just investigating them. I know I won’t find them, but I’ll never stop looking.

Journalist: What are these ideas?

Tesla: The first issue is food. How much star or Earth energy is needed to feed a hungry world? The second is to eliminate the force of evil and suffering. This is seen as a plague across deep space. The third, is there too much light in the universe? I discovered a star where all astronomical laws fail, where mathematical equations do not work. The star exists in this galaxy. It is as small as an apple but weighs as much as our entire solar system. I know that gravity is something that must be overcome to fly, but I’m not talking about physical flight for individuals; I’m exploring moving through consciousness. I am trying to awaken energy in the air. There is no empty space on this planet. What we think of as empty is just another manifestation of matter.

Journalist: It is said that birds come to your window every day.

Tesla: Humans must be emotional towards birds. They are the harbingers of truth.

Journalist: You haven’t stopped flying since those days in Smiljan.

Tesla: As a child, I wanted to fly off the roof, and I fell. My calculations were off. Remember, youth is life’s most important wing!

Journalist: Did you ever marry?

Tesla: No.

Journalist: Your fans complain about your attacks on the theory of relativity. If energy is everywhere, where are these invisible forms of it?

Tesla: Energy comes first, then matter. The universe was born from the original, eternal energy known as light. Matter is just a manifestation of infinite forms of light. There are four fundamental laws of the universe. First, there must be a mathematical measure. Second, it spreads within the darkness. Third, light transforms into radiant matter. Fourth, there is no beginning or end. Creation is eternal.

Journalist: But you don’t teach this theory publicly. Why not?

Tesla: Remember, the reason we can’t comprehend infinity is not because the universe is curved, but because the human mind is limited. I am part of the light. The universe is like a symphony, orderly and harmonic. If Einstein had heard this music, he would not have created the theory of relativity. He’s only a messenger of chaos.

Journalist: Mr. Tesla, do you hear a sound?

Tesla: I have always heard it. My spiritual ear is as vast as the sky. Einstein did many things, some of which were good. I have no grudge against him. But believing that “the ether” doesn’t exist was a big mistake.

Journalist: They say you were frequently ill in your youth. Is that true?

Tesla: Yes, it’s true that I often suffered from a lack of vitality. Sometimes, one must experience suffering. As a child, I contracted cholera. It disappeared when my father allowed me to work on technology. Never underestimate the power of the mind.

Journalist: Mr. Tesla, is this a game? You speak to me about the power of the mind...

Tesla: Yes, it’s a game. I played it and solved it with electricity. Remember, Nikola Tesla was the first person to discover the truths about lightning.

Journalist: No doubt our readers love humor, but it seems like you’re mixing science with some personal views.

Tesla: Mr. Smith, people are too serious. A Chinese proverb says, “Too much seriousness shortens life.”

Journalist: Your readers will love your philosophy.

Tesla: Life is rhythm. Everything is interconnected in a deep and perfect relationship. Humans, the Sun, stars... Knowledge is what the universe gives us to live in.

Journalist: What you say sounds like the words of a Buddhist monk or a Taoist philosopher.

Tesla: Yes! Some of the universe’s secrets are hidden in such teachings. Truth has always fascinated mankind.

Journalist: What does electricity mean to you?

Tesla: Everything is electricity. First comes light, the infinite energy that represents the universe! Black is the real face of light. Of course, we cannot see it.

Journalist: Mr. Tesla, aren’t you exaggerating electricity a bit?

Tesla: I am electricity, or you could say I’m the human form of electricity. So are you, but you have yet to realize it.

Journalist: Can you pass a million volts through your body?

Tesla: The human body is made up of vast amounts of energy. Our brains run entirely on electricity. One day, we’ll see this happening.

Journalist: Hotel management says you often speak to someone in your room when there’s a storm outside. Is that true?

Tesla: Yes, I speak with lightning and thunder.

Journalist: How so?

Tesla: I mostly speak to them in my native language.

Journalist: Our readers will be shocked to hear this.

Tesla: Lightning and thunder are the most powerful and brilliant forces of nature. They are so poetic.

Journalist: What is matter?

Tesla: Look how your eyes light up. What I want to know is what happens when stars die. What is left when a star is extinguished? That’s when we’ll begin to understand matter and the secrets of the universe.

Journalist: And what will happen then?

Tesla: God will laugh at us and have us arrested. (Tesla says this with a smile.)

Journalist: What you’ve said seems to contradict the “cosmic pain” you often mention in your writings.

Tesla: No, because we are still living on Earth. Many people suffer from an illness they are unaware of. That’s why so much evil, pain, misery, and war exist. This illness is not entirely curable, but being aware of it allows us to control the evil we experience. Sometimes, I feel the pain of those close to me in my own body. This is because our bodies are made of similar material, and our souls are interconnected. The image of a star’s death affects us more than we can imagine. The relationships among creatures on Earth are far more significant than we realize. We have much to learn for a better future. (HABER MERKEZİ)
