When the battery level falls below 15%, the farmer is audibly alerted and can recharge quickly at the nearest electrical outlet or fast-charging station. With charging stations located throughout Turkey, Agrolia can be conveniently recharged anywhere.

Due to the pandemic and economic factors, the release of this electric tractor has been rescheduled to 2025. Manufactured at a facility in Dilovası, Kocaeli, the factory has an annual production capacity of 1,050 tractors, with plans to increase this capacity to 10,000 in the coming years.

Charging:

Charging Stations: Electric tractors can be easily charged thanks to charging stations located in various parts of Turkey. The power units in the charging stations allow vehicles to be charged much faster. The charging time also depends on the infrastructure at the charging station locations. If sufficient infrastructure is provided, the charging time for ZY Electric Tractor can be reduced to 45 minutes.

Three-Phase Sockets: ZY Electric Tractor can be charged with 380V sockets (industrial sockets) using a simple adapter. Thanks to these sockets, which are frequently used in industrial areas, ZY Electric Tractor can be charged very quickly, provided sufficient infrastructure is available. It can also be easily integrated into normal usage areas when needed.

Single-Phase Sockets: ZY Electric Tractor can be charged with 220V sockets (household sockets) using a simple adapter. Although 220V sockets found in every home provide less power than station and three-phase sockets, they offer the farmer the convenience of charging anywhere.

Onboard Charging Unit: The ZY Electric Tractor is equipped with an onboard charging unit, allowing quick charging wherever there is electrical energy, without needing an external charging unit. The ZY Electric Tractor can be charged faster than a normal vehicle, wherever it is charged.

The domestic electric tractor can operate at one-tenth the fuel cost compared to diesel tractors. The tractor, which will save tens of thousands of lira each year, will increase milk yield by operating quietly and without emissions and will prevent agricultural products from being affected by the intense exhaust fumes of older-generation tractors. Even when using high-power plows, the vehicle offers 5-7 hours of operating time on a full charge, and when used for seeding and spraying, it can provide service for 10-12 hours. When the battery charge level drops below 15%, the farmer receives an audible alert and can obtain 80% charge within 1 hour by going to the nearest electric socket or fast-charging station. The tractor is also reported to have V2G (Vehicle-to-Grid) support, allowing farmers to supply their home electricity.

When Will the Domestic Electric Tractor Be Available for Sale?

Önder Yol announced that the domestic electric tractor would enter mass production in June 2021, but this date was postponed several times until January 2022. However, the tractor recently received type approval, officially confirming that it is ready for mass production. It can be said that the first electric tractors will begin to be delivered in the first quarter of 2022.

There is significant demand for the electric tractor, which has been undergoing testing on various farms since 2021.

How Much Is the Sale Price of the ZY Electric Tractor?

The medium-sized version of the electric tractor, which was the first customer of the Ministry of Agriculture's affiliated TİGEM, was expected to have a sales price of approximately 390,000 lira based on the prices announced in 2021. However, after facing difficulties in transitioning to mass production due to the pandemic, ZY turned to the large model in 2022, and a new price was not shared. Due to the rise in exchange rates, the 290-horsepower large model is likely to be offered to farmers at a price close to 1 million lira.

Where Is the Domestic Electric Tractor Factory?

The domestic electric tractor factory, located in Dilovası, Kocaeli, has an annual production capacity of 1,050 large tractors.
